Doors Without Walls

Day 26: Door

The little memorial park that surrounds my duck pond features three sculptures of giant doors tilted in steel frames, with tinted panes angled to catch the light and mirror a specific view. I like to think that inside life’s choices, there is a front entrance, a back exit, and a side egress just in case.

Yes, folks, it’s that time of year again. I’m looking forward to my third go at participating in Susannah Conway’s August Break by posting prompts here on the blog and on my Instagram account. There are no rules, really. Simply take a photo every day for the month of August, based on the prompts or not. I take a photo a day all year long, but you can’t lose no matter how many days you keep this up. And the more, the merrier!

  1. What an image! The concept of doors without walls is a bit mind-bending for me with just one cup of coffee, but I’m taken with it nonetheless. And I love the notion of the “side egress.”

  2. highlyreasonable

I also like the idea of a “side egress just in case” and may try to build that into more of my life choices. Your duck pond is one amazing place – great photo!
